Muchas veces, cuando buscamos grandes arquitectos, o diseñadores siempre pensamos en personajes de fuera como Philipe Stark, Zaha Hadid, Mies Van Der Rohe, Le Corbusier, Karim Rashid, etc. Pero tenemos que reconocer que aquí también tenemos a grandes artistas como lo puede ser Ricardo Bofill de quien os voy a hablar hoy.
Este arquitecto, de tan conocido nombre, ha diseño muchos de los lugares por los cuales hemos pasado sin valorar su gran talento, como puede ser si hemos visitado alguna vez la Terminal 1 del Prat en Barcelona, o el paseo a la rivera del río Manzanares en Madrid.
A pesar de que muchos de sus proyectos han sido en España, también ha construido espacios importantes fuera, como puede ser en Francia, China, Mexico, Etc.
Hoy os traigo algunas de sus obras y en las que una vez más os recomiendo para que las anoteis en vuestra lista de cosas a visitar.
Many
times when we are looking for great architects or designers we always think
about foreign people like Philipe Stark, Zaha Hadid, Mies Van Der Rohe, Le
Corbusier, Karim Rashid, etc. But we have to admin that in Spain we have great artist
as Ricardo Bofill that is the one that I will talk about you.
This
well-known architect have designed many of the places which we have been and we
did not appreciate his talent, as for instance the Terminal 1 of the Prat in
Barcelona, or Paseo de la Rivera in the Manzanares river in Madrid.
Although
many of his projects have been created in Spain, he also have create important
places outside our county, for instance in France, China, Mexico, etc.
Here
I bring to you some of his Works and I strongly recommend you to write them
down to visit someday.
- Terminal 1 el Prat en Barcelona:
Anteriormente fue el arquitecto del Aeropuerto de Barcelona, pero esta nueva terminal, se contruyó con el fin de ser la puerta entre Barcelona y el entorno europeo. Se caracteriza por su luminosidad con entrada de luz natural, dejando ver las pistas de aterrizaje y con el mar al fondo.
Arquitectonicamente es de curvilíneas sobrias y de grandes dimensiones, creando simetria en todo el espacio.
Previously, he was the Barcelona airport architect but
this new terminal was build to be a “door” between Barcelona and the rest of
Europe. Its characterized by its luminosity with daylight, letting see the
landing strips and the sea.
Architecturally, it is a sober curvilinear and large,
creating symmetry in all the places.

Sinceramente he pasado por la carretera que cruza el río, infinidad de veces y siempre me había preguntado, quien habria contruido ese espacio tan natural, dandole a la ciudad ese toque verde que muchas veces le hace falta con tanta contaminacion.
Es un espacio natural de piscinas cubiertas y en las cuales podemos encontrar obras de arte como la de las imagenes.
Honestly,
I have go through the road above the river millions times and I always ask
myself who had made that pretty natural place giving the city the green touch
that is need among all the pollution.
It
is a natural place with indoor pools in which we can find art works as follows.

- Hotel de la Cadena W en Barcelona:
Por su construcción, me recuerda y seguramente a vosotros también, al hotel Burj Al Arab situado en Dubai, del arquitecto Tom Wright.
Todo forrado de cristal, con la intencion de que todas las habitaciones, tengan vistas a la ciudad o directamente al mar. En la azotea consta de una de las discotecas mas lujosas de Barcelona con unos interiores totalmente envidiables por sus acabados, ya que esta perfectamente iluminados y con unas vistas insuperables.
By its structure, it reminds me and surely
to you also, of the hotel Burj Al Arab in Dubai, created by Tom Wright.
Everything is covered by glass with the
purpose to give all the rooms a nice view of the city or to the sea. On the
rooftop there is one of the most selective nightclub of Barcelona with an
interior enviable by its details and perfectly illuminated with an impressive
view.
